Welcome!
Association of Lions Clubs, District 129, Slovenia is an active member of Lions Clubs International - LCI with 53 Lions Clubs and 19 Leo Clubs. Since 1990, when the first Lions Club in our capital Ljubljana was established, we now have 1,500 members in our Lions Clubs and 300 Leo Club members - all known for their devotion to humanitarian work.
The Republic of Slovenia is a well developed country in Middle Europe, but one of the smallest members of the European Union with a population of only 2 million residents, so the number of Lions per capita makes us one of the leading countries in Lionism throughout the World.
Much of our work is dedicated to the solving of problems with and for people with disabilities and also for those children with special needs in our communities at home. But we also support the initiatives of LCI in projects around the World and put our efforts into spreading Lionism in new countries.
In Lions year 2011/12 our Governor is Mr. Dorijan Maršič.
If you would like to obtain more information about our work or make contact with our District please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our district’s secretary Mr. Marko Kocjančič.
